Surly sunflower

Leah was none too happy to be dressed as a sunflower as we strolled her about town tonight.

There were hordes of Halloweeners out and about in downtown Jersey City. Large and small kids and parents and pets were dressed up and traveling in groups or manning brownstone steps with decorations and Halloween treats. It actually made me wish that I had dressed up.

Leah, however, seemed to be wishing that she could just go home and play with her sock. So we took a nice, brisk walk around our neighborhood (speed keeps the screaming demons at bay) and arrived back home to face something even scarier than our neighbors' haunted garden: the laundry!!!

Thank you for sharing Leah's first All Hallows Eve with us. While she may have been a reluctant sunflower, she IS cute as a button!

We especially remember great grandmother, Janet, on this All Saints Day.
