There have been some computer + other issues in the household for the past few weeks, so I am playing catch-up. Some highlights:
Pearl Jam at The Meadowlands (currently called Continental Airlines Arena) on June 1st + 3rd. While we are both full-on PJ geeks, I am the one with the fan club membership that gets us great seats. So with our 7th anniversary coming up, I took advantage + got us tickets. They were both amazing nights, and now I fantasize about following them as they trek around the world to all their fans.
Back to reality:
Bean in her new (yet-to-be-filled with actual sand) sandbox.
Enjoying birthday jello at the village diner.
Scenes from our recent church picnic, where she played with friends + her father displayed his softball skills.
The girl is becoming very chatty. Favorite words are cat, dada, mama, no ("nah" with a shake of the head), yum, and an occasional parroting of the last few words we say. Favorite foods include bananas, cheese, cheerios, graham crackers, carrot soup, beans, applesauce + water.
She stands up all the time + will "walk" along furniture or with our help. She is in love with the cat, Finding Nemo, and Pearl Jam - in both audio + visual forms. Which works out well for us. We have yet to determine her political affiliation, though lately she has become quite enamored of monkeys.
On a sad note, Xenia, who has been caring for Leah since she was 11 weeks old, has had to leave us due to an illness in her family. So we have found what looks to be a very good small daycare near the train station, where she will go once a week beginning this Tuesday.
