Too much

I loved watching parts of the concert yesterday; Leah put her dancing skills to work for most of Melissa Etheridge (who was amazing + could easily have built a career as a preacher). The main thing I came away with is that we consume WAY TOO MUCH. Too much energy, too many things, and much more than our fair share.

As a family, we are starting to look at what we actually need, vs. what we think we want. Not easy, since we've been in pretty constant "acquire" mode as new homeowners, but it is refreshing - so far - to examine our lives more closely in the attempt to live more deliberately.
