While Rob was in CA on a 4-day biz trip, Leah decided to give her hair a trim. I noticed the results of her handiwork as she came downstairs with her purple kid-safe scissors, wanting to give me a haircut. Whoa there, sister! Instead, I finished the job for her, and now she has a short little bob - cute and maintenance-free.

On Saturday we drove back to our old 'hood in Jersey City to have lunch with my youngest sister Biff, who was visiting a friend for the weekend. Down below is a picture of the Bean in front of her first home in JC. I miss it still (sniff)...

Sunday, Rob was home, and we all traveled to a farm for Leah's friend Hayley's 5th birthday party. It was fantastic - a tent, hay pyramid, hayride to pick pumpkins, corn maze, and pony rides (though she didn't make it atop one... much preferred climbing the pyramid).

So that was last weekend. And now I sleep... tomorrow is Halloween!

haircut is adorable - I want to climb a hay pyramid!
Where did Leah get those cool blocks? Santa is looking for some over here...
Glad you had a nice weekend!
The hay pyramid was amazing. Though my uncoordinated-self kept tripping over the bale strings!
The blocks are a combination of the Melissa + Doug Architectural Set: http://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-Architectural-Unit-Block/dp/B000GFZMYS
and (I think... got it at Other Mothers almost 2 years ago) the Maxim 100-piece blocks: http://www.amazon.com/Maxim-Natural-Wood-Blocks-100-Pieces/dp/B000JUTX3G
We hit Alstede farms this year on Columbus Day ... they had over 20,000 people come through on that Sunday and it was pretty crowded the Monday we were there - we even ran into 3 families we knew from JC. I liked the hay tunnel - complete with a non smoking sign.
