3 months

I do believe that the girl has adopted a no-sleep policy so I won't notice she's 3 FRICKIN' MONTHS OLD!!!

My brain can't quite wrap itself around that one. Technically, she's no longer a newborn, and I can't believe it. Of course people have
been telling us for the better part of a year how fast she'd grow. That we should enjoy her now because "she'll grow up so fast". And I scoffed. Well, maybe I should listen the next time everyone tells me the same thing.

In other news, she is now a fist-sucking junkie and her neck actually supports her huge head when she's on her (equally huge) belly. She talks quite a bit (still we have no idea what she says), is a kicking pro, and is in love with the water. She took her first bath in the bathtub tonight, and splashed up a storm. Oh - and she just started grabbing her toys on purpose today. We can't believe that we find all these things so fascinating, but of course we do. Who knows what the next 3 months will bring?

I recall this theory from "The Happiest Baby on the Block" (which I didn't read but heard a lot about) that the first three months are the 4th trimester, so to speak: babes want to eat, sleep, be snuggled and swaddled, etc. Then pow - they become real babies, looking at everything, trying to eat everything! Sounds like she has just left the 4th trimester with a bang!

On the plus side, she'll probably enjoy your walks a lot more, with so much to see in Jersey City!
