This is my last week of every-day-but-one with the girl. Next week I begin my new Tues/Wed/Thurs schedule in the city. I am so looking forward to a more balanced life and, oh, maybe even talking to a few adults each day!
The plan is to make this week a good one (much like any other, but with an actual deadline for the fun). So far:
Monday
- a picnic at the town pool with friends
- a visit to the farmer's market, where she helped pick out several vegetables
- preparing dinner (shucking the corn, snapping beans), which consisted entirely of those vegetables

Here she is, showing me both the raw corn and the corn chips in her mouth. How educational for both of us.
Today: a trip into the city (on the train!), which included
- lunch (a fancy grilled Kosher hot dog at a cart)
- a visit to a gallery exhibit
- lots of rides on my back
- inspection of all the curbs + playgrounds to + from the subway

Tomorrow doesn't count! I'm back in the city for work, and her babysitter will be taking over after dinner so we can see friends at a bar. Classy.
